There might be situations where customers wants to use only one core of a multi (dual\/quad) core processor because of application restrictions.<\/p>\n

Details<\/h2>\n

This can be achieved in Microsoft Windows by editing the boot.ini<\/span> file and disabling one core as follows:<\/p>\n

    Right click on „My Computer“, then select -> Properties -> Advanced -> Startup & Recovery.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  2. \n

    Click on „Edit“<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  3. \n

    At the end of the line add the following code: \/numproc=1<\/span><\/p>\n

    NOTE:<\/span> This will enable only the logical processor 1 in Microsort Windows<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/div>\n
